iOttie Easy One Touch: I have two of these, one in my SUV and one in my briefcase. I always use the "Waze" App to navigate me through LA traffic and my traveling iOttie attaches to my rental car so I can decline "Neverlost." The All New Airport Extreme: Ok, so I'll admit it, I'm a complete bandwidth snob. You may catch me covertly checking your house's internet download speed with my Speedtest App. If I test below 15Mbps then we will probably have a sit down. The new Airport Extreme runs on 802.11.ac, which is the newest and fastest technology and streams about 3 times faster than your current router. I was a little skeptical, but my laptop went from 20Mbps down to almost 75Mbps and my laptop was not even .ac. Why pay for fast internet like FIOS if your router is just killing the speed. Get lightening fast wifi and don't worry about the set up - it's a cinch!
UBER: This is like having a personal chauffeur and riding in style - no more stinky, claustrophobic cabs. The best thing is that you don't have to tip - already included in the fair. Just set up an account and everything is run through your PDA App. The fairs to and from LAX for me have been comparable to a cab. It's also nice if it's midnight and your kid needs a ride home from a High School party - "honey, Dad's asleep, just Uber."
The All New Kindle Paperwhite: I know I had the Kindle Paperwhite on my list last year, however, they've made it even better this year. The new Paperwhite's text is even sharper and most importantly, they fixed the small shadows that appeared on the bottom of the screen. The new glowing technology is amazing - how cool that you no longer need a reading light. I like a dedicated reader, I don't want email, web surfing or anything else distracting me. The Kindle is also awesome in direct sun light, go ahead and try to read your iPad at the pool or beach. I also love the feel, the ability to hold it in one hand and it's super light.
